Potty Time

John and I decided we were going to take a Saturday and coax Brendyn to the potty every 20-30 min just to see if he was ready to be potty trained. I figured we would never know until we tried. After John diligently took Brendyn to the potty every few minutes and after a few accidents on the floor, he finally went on the potty. The whole time I was thinking I don't know if I am ready for this. Probably because I know I will be the one primarily home with our little stinker and the bulk of the potty training would fall on me.(yes I get lazy every time I think about taking him to the potty every 20 minutes). I figured it would be better now then if we waited until we have another kid. Well anyway, Brendyn did great last weekend! On Saturday he went pee pee a little when John was with him. I think he only went a little because John scared him with his excitement. After church on Sunday I figured I would keep with it. So every time I put him on the potty he would go more and more. In fact he even went poo poo...ok maybe it was a little tiny tiny poop but it was a good start. Now I just have to train myself to be consistent if I want this to work.

Getting Creative

Brendyn is going through what we hope is just another stage. Everytime John and I try to feed him we are lucky if we can even get three bits in. Somewhere along the line Brendyn has decided food is boring and never wants to eat. John and I have been making ourselves cazy by jumping, claping, dancing, cheering, and trying to do whatever it takes to get him to eat. Through all this, it has brought us to desparate measures.

Happy Birthday Babe!!!

Today is my hubby's 28th birthday. I can't believe how old he is getting! :)Well, I guess we are all getting older. I have to say even though he is getting to be an old man, he is still, in my eyes the greatest man out there! I say this all the time but I ended up with the greatest husband and father out there. John is the most selfless person and the best example I know. Through just being himself he has literally helped me to be a better person. He is definitely the better half in our marriage. I am so grateful we have an eternal marriage and family. I guess that makes me one of the luckiest girls our there. :) Brendyn is so lucky to have a dad like John. I love watching John with Brendyn interact together. They are so0o0 much fun to watch and Brendyn just adores him. Well I could go on and on but I just wanted to thank John for being the love of my life and the greatest husband out there. HAPPY BIRTHDAY I LOVE YOU BABE!

Ashley's parents wanted to see all their 10 grandkids perform the Nativity. Ashley her Mom and Sister made all these costumes one week prior to Christmas. They are AMAZING and they all looked adorable.

White Elephant Party

Every year we try to throw a White Elephant party and each year the gifts get wilder and wilder. Like the gift of batteries with a tag that reads "Gift NOT Included." from Ryan and the Maxi Pad Slippers from Ashley. Yes, pad slippers... see picture. FUN TIME!
