First Time in a Big Boy Bed!!

Brendyn is trying out a big boy bed tonight. My sister is getting ready to move in so they put their toddler bed in Brendyn's room. The last couple of days he has really enjoyed jumping on this new bed in his room. After we knelt down to say Brendyn's prayer he laid his head down on the bed and acted like he was going to sleep. So I figured I would give him his pillow and blanket, turn off the lights and walk out. I was thinking any second he is going to come running into our room. I waited and waited thinking ok he is probably getting into something because he is way too quite. I went to check on him and wallaa!!! He was sleeping!!! I guess we will see what happens tomorrow when he wakes up. I've always figured why take them out of their cribs until you can't keep them in it anymore...but hey if it's this easy then way not. ;)

To My Wife & Baby's Mamma

Brendyn and I just want everyone to know that Ashley is the most beautiful and companionate mother. She works really hard every day to raise and take care of us...her boys. Ashley makes our home a Home by her tenderness. There are days that I come home and despite the hard day she had, still will have dinner ready and house cleaned. She is very good at teaching Brendyn new things and how to be polite. Daddy teaches him to give a mean football face while flexing his muscles. (: She lights up our home with her strong spirit, always showing Christ like love. We Adore and Love are Mamma! MUAH

County Fair 09

A few weeks ago we decided to go to the county fair. Even though it was raining and a little muddy we still enjoyed getting out of the house, eating carnival food, seeing the animals and riding on the Kamikaze. Daddy and Brendyn waiting for the wild animal show to start.

29. How long did it take to get serious? For me 2 months for John 2 weeks :)
30. Who eats more? John but neither one of us eat that much. We normally share when we go out or always have left overs if we don't.

This is our goofy dog Buster. He always seems to find the most uncomfortable places to relax. Most of the time it's as close to us as he can get without breaking house rules. :) He seems to be content in this picture but he has to be uncomfortable since he is such a huge dog on a little step. I'm just glad I was able to catch a picture of him doing it. Normally by the time I hunt down the camera he has moved on... just like a normal kid. I'm sitting here laughing because Buster is laying on his bed right next to me snoring so loud, that it's distracting! lol :)

Potty Time

John and I decided we were going to take a Saturday and coax Brendyn to the potty every 20-30 min just to see if he was ready to be potty trained. I figured we would never know until we tried. After John diligently took Brendyn to the potty every few minutes and after a few accidents on the floor, he finally went on the potty. The whole time I was thinking I don't know if I am ready for this. Probably because I know I will be the one primarily home with our little stinker and the bulk of the potty training would fall on me.(yes I get lazy every time I think about taking him to the potty every 20 minutes). I figured it would be better now then if we waited until we have another kid. Well anyway, Brendyn did great last weekend! On Saturday he went pee pee a little when John was with him. I think he only went a little because John scared him with his excitement. After church on Sunday I figured I would keep with it. So every time I put him on the potty he would go more and more. In fact he even went poo poo...ok maybe it was a little tiny tiny poop but it was a good start. Now I just have to train myself to be consistent if I want this to work.
